@LyleDAL @show Yep, always a great experience to visit a #Gridserve Electric Forecourt - sometimes we go (a bit) out of our way to charge there rather than anywhere else. I was just there on Saturday as it happens, it feels as though I only just missed Nikki, as all the demo cars were in the exact same positions!

The "manufacturer statements vs real-world" conundrum of owning an #EV.

Specs say the car can charge 10% to 80% in 43 minutes.

Reality says a 40% to 80% charge took 53 minutes. And I was the only person using 1 of the 6 350kW DC chargers at this #Gridserve location.

So more time for way less charge capacity.

Charging at #gridserve chargers is a pleasure. It just works, pay with a normal card. No problem.

Ionity you have a lot to learn

Blessedly, it was quiet at Tebay although I had to cross over to the Northbound service. First #Gridserve device didn’t like me but the other one did and pumped in the power at my max 43kWh rate. One hour later my battery was totally full!
That got me all the way to my hotel at Alderley Edge with 20 miles to spare. Phew.

Sometimes wish we didn’t live so close to the GridServe Braintree Electric Forecourt.

It’s exactly the type of place I’d like to charge at on a trip. And they are getting quicker still.
