Easter in Nashville, 1977. I wasn't always a Curmudgeonly Old Hermit. #hermit #hermitting #curmudgeon #hermits #curmudgeons #grump #grumps #coot #geezer #nashville #tennessee #southern #southernstates #travel #vacation #holiday #vacations #usatravel #unitedstates #1970s #visit
Another UK celebrity jumping into the children's book market and sucking up all the atmosphere, news coverage (and PR money) because there OBVIOUSLY are no actual authors writing books for young readers these days #grump
With four of the past six days occupied by a headache (bad word for what it feels like, shoulders, neck, eyes, 'teeth' and gums hurt...) I am going to bed to attempt to read this book I'm really enjoying but it's near the end and I'm sad about that
I hate winter

The grind continues. Just got a reminder my car insurance is due next month, and I'm still not out of my overdraft, let alone have any money put away for the dental work.
Not much work is coming in either.
My teeth will just have to wait, the car insurance renewal can always be cancelled... I've got two social events planned that are already paid for by friends but other than that... yeah.
My health precludes me just getting a part time job, and I'm still waiting on the PIP appeal.
Grumpily registering to attend the InternetNZ AGM because apparently there is some stupid shit to vote against. #Grump
If the best hope we have in the field of #UIDesign is copying Apple copying themselves, just put me in a bunker with some rations, a raspberry pi, a vt320, and leave me the hell alone.
Every day I get one step closer to deciding to switch from Linux to OpenBSD on my desktop machine.
I think Wine (for gaming) is the the major reason I haven't. Oh, and my Bluetooth mouse.
Phone is insisting on a "UI Upgrade", so I looked at the list of changes. Bundled in with security fixes (no details, understandably) is a depressing number of new ra-ra functions. You can now scribble on your phone's wallpaper! Oh wow!!
This leads to a thought: are the main customers for smartphones 10-15 year olds? Wouldn't their numbers be surpassed by adults?
If one wants the probably important security updates, one has to accept one's phone filling up with intrusive tinsel. #grump
Today #Grump turns on Liz #Cheney and his supporters are happy, because it is not them. But what they fail to realize, is that the arbitrary ruler Grump wants to become with his #Project2025 puts anyone in peril of getting on his enemy list. Also devoted supporters.
