Hi #fediverse does anyone know if its possible to use beaker browser to host a website on #hashbase but be able to manage that website from multiple computers? It looks like you can only change the #dat archive from the computer where it was created at the moment. #decentralised #beakerbrowser

#hashbase is not updating my blog anymore

I updated the #DAT archive but the updated version doesn't show up through the hashbase https service

This is the handle
dat://68f003145e2893d854781cce4d0ed495c36a66c75b4f0c699d9cac63137898f9

and this is the https thing

@bhaugen Great, thanks for re-posting Bob. I kind of get that and agree dat/Beaker/hashbase.io really make web publishing almost as simple as, say, sharing files in DropBox. But I also suspect some dimensions of even this practice are a tad more complex than some of us non-server types really feel at home with (tweaking DNS records? ooer). Not a criticism, just noting differing degrees of hacker tendency here. #hashbase is key element?

For those experimenting with or , I made my first “hello world” site at dat://test-danyork.hashbase.io/

(If you have no idea what this is, visit beakerbrowser.com/ )

@mayel Slight tangent . . I'm experimenting (tentatively) with #beaker browser & pages written in #markdown in a repo shared over #dat as a basis for a website hosted on my own laptop boosted via #hashbase platform host. Far fewer features than Mediawiki - unless somone arranges a beaker hackathon? But maybe a regime like this is within the limited scope of a 'non-admin' user? The P2P capability might offset fewer bells & whistles?

I updated the info in my profile. Now I have my blog on and on

I'm not entirely satisfied but it's a first step
