Deductive reasoning is only as useful as the assumption upon which you base your beliefs.

Ex: This person was born female. Females of a certain age menstruate. She is of the age to menstruate. She menstruates.

versus

Ex: This person was born female. Females are lousy drivers. She is a lousy driver.

Prejudice is (technically) just the latter of these two examples since the initial assumption wasn't based on factual evidence.

I have put Bsky on ice myself, but Bridgy worked pretty well and I still see it regularly used. Also, works fine independently from apps or platform (e.g. also from web).

We had our first "real-world" village at NAEO conference this past week. I think it went well for the most part, despite the conference not being a very technical one.

I also made some mistakes on marketing the event (so that people were even aware of it) but we still had a solid go.

I gave the "post-mortem" at DC614 and they encouraged me to continue on. I'm aiming for #HTH in June since it's local and I have all the equipment.

Networking is not my forte, so wish me luck in their discord.

I did put in a Call for Villages for #DC33 at the last second...but I'm not expecting that one.

@shin Quest'anno ho fatto il salto e lasciato YNAB per Actual Budget. L'ho installato sul mio server ma avevo iniziato seguendo le loro istruzioni per avviarlo su un pikapod. Forse non copre ancora tutte le possibilità di YNAB, ma per i miei bisogni lo sostituisce benissimo. #HTH

Just did this on my Mac:

Open obsidian, go to settings, left hand panel click on hotkeys, upper right search for ‘daily’… three options, chose the one to open today’s daily note… click on the plus and hit the keys I wanted.

Closed and hit those keys and an new daily note appeared. #hth

(interface should mostly be the same on non-mac devices I would hope)

3. Backup ziehen
4. neuen Controller starten und Backup einspielen
5. alten Controller stoppen
6. falls "adopten" im neuen Controller fehlschlägt -- per SSH auf den APs einloggen und
"set-inform http://ip-of-controller:8080/inform" absetzen

I have a keygen (allegedly written by a disgruntled ex-DEC employee), though, so let me know if you want a set of license keys #hth
