So, in Washington State, if a food bank buys a server for their website, they pay sales tax on it. If an AI company buys a server for their data center, they don't pay sales tax. I guess data centers are more valuable than non-profits.

Today I learned about “Sora” from OpenAI. Another AI slop generator from a company that really has no point, this is probably not the first thing I should have consumed on a Sunday. In her latest video, completely human, interesting content creator Vanessa shares her take on what this means for the world. I had seen rumblings about AI generated actors in movies, but I didn’t realize it was an actual thing.
And no, I’m not linking to anything to do with OpenAI.
