O objetivo da rede Tor é disponibilizar aos utilizadores uma forma de aceder à Internet de forma tão privada e anónima quanto possível, encaminhando o tráfego cifrado por múltiplos servidores. Espera-se desta forma eliminar qualquer possibilidade de rastreio da origem do tráfego, permitindo a quem a usa contornar a vigilância imposta em alguns países por agências ou autoridades de censura.
Este artigo identifica e divulga uma vulnerabilidade da rede Tor que pode ser utilizada por terceiros para subverter os objetivos com que a rede foi concebida. A identificação da vulnerabilidade foi divulgada antecipadamente à equipa de desenvolvimento da rede Tor, contribuindo para aumentar a sua robustez.

A criptografia é um elemento crítico da segurança nas comunicações através da Internet e a sua defesa tem sido uma preocupação da sociedade e de várias organizações como a Internet Society. A existência de comunicações seguras e invioláveis, sendo necessária para um espaço digital socialmente livre e economicamente fértil, confronta-se com a sua exploração por redes criminosas para atividades ilegais.
No centro da discussão técnica e política está uma controvérsia em torno de conteúdos de abuso sexual de crianças (CSAM), que tem suscitado propostas políticas [1](Proposta de REGULAMENTO EU que estabelece regras para prevenir e combater o abuso sexual de crianças) cuja implementação introduz, de acordo com muitos peritos, falhas técnicas significativas [2](Bugs in your pockets) e viola a privacidade dos utilizadores. Este debate apresenta este dilema e reflete sobre as atuais alternativas.

That is to say, the "regions" that represent a clear majority of the "global" that they are also want to go on about.

She has played a key role in blazing a path towards IPv6-mostly deployments in Enterprise environments, including bringing the Google network to IPv6-mostly. It has been a great pleasure working with her over the years and this award is very well deserved!
