For those thinking of installing Fedora 43 KDE Plasma and are running into an installer problem.
If you have Nvidia - this is a workaround.
> Root menu
> Troubleshooting
> * start Fedora-KDE ... in basic graphics mode
> run installer (with 3rd party repo enabled)
> Restart computer manually (remove flash)
> Install Nvidia repos and drivers.
> Update System

One thing i find completely unintuitive in KDE is that, to automatically log in as some user, you have to go to "Color & Themes > Login Screen" on the System Settings, and click on the "Behavior..." button in the taskbar.
What has that anything to do with theming?
It took me like an hour to find that option the first time.
Once again, my mom's laptop (which is my current laptop at the moment) continues to surprise me in pretty amazing ways. The latest: screen recording with #OBS with good frame rate in #Luanti. This could mean I could potentially start doing #livestreaming from that laptop in addition to my desktop. It'd probably be for late night streaming though, but still.
The one caveat is that I have to use a lighter DE than #Plasma. In that case, I chose #Sway, and while it took me a little bit of tweaking and investigating to figure out OBS screen capture under Sway, I finally got it working at a good quality and it works so far without issue. At least, that's for recording. I haven't tried streaming on it yet, but one of these days I will! 😄
@TheOneDoc @katzenmann It's Plasma 6.5.4 at the moment. I was using the start menu originally, but krunner has the same issue.

I can't really do the install in a certain order thing as I am on NixOS.

Any #KDE #plasma 6 expert here?
Simple issue, in the app launcher, when I type "f", 99.99999% of the time I want to start Firefox, however, no matter how often I launch Firefox, the launcher insists on selecting FreeCAD first.
Would not be so bad, but even if I type "fire" and press enter, it will still launch FreeCAD unless I wait for a bit so it switches to Firefox.
It seems minor, but it's driving me up the wall. Can I solve this without removing FreeCAD?
