Que c'est agréable de se laisser surprendre.
Là encore, la bande-annonce m'avait pas forcément emballé mais pour Jonathan Cohen et Leïla Bekhti, j'ai eu envie d'être curieux et je me dis que j'ai clairement bien fait.
Roland Perez avait écrit ce livre autobiographique sur son lien avec sa mère et Ken Scott (le réalisateur de Starbuck) en a fait un film.
C'est bête hein mais j'en suis sorti en me disant enfin un homme hétéro qui ose exprimer son amour pour sa mère. Ça m'a fait plaisir parce que jusque là, les plus belles déclarations que j'avais pu voir, d'un fils pour sa maman étaient celles de Pedro Almodovar et de Xavier Dolan (2 réalisateurs que, soit dit en passant, j'adore). Les autres me semblaient plus à l'aise pour parler du lien avec le père.
Depuis Pagnol (qui lui, a écrit un roman pour chacun au moins voilà), je trouvais ça rare, voire inexistant et ça me questionnait mais donc voilà c'est rectifié et oui, aimant profondément ma mère, cette histoire m'a touché.
Après, je suis éducateur dans la protection de l'enfance donc je ne prône pas que tout parent est forcément bienveillant envers ses enfants mais là, dans cette histoire, force est de constater que cette mère aurait tout fait et a tout fait pour son fils. De manière excessive parfois et le scénario n'omet pas de nous le montrer mais l'amour est toujours là et c'est juste super émouvant.

Bref, c'est certes un film assez classique dans sa mise en scène mais c'est clairement très justement incarné par tout le casting et je terminerais en disant bravo et longue vie à Sylvie Vartan. Vous comprendrez en allant découvrir ce métrage actuellement en salle 😜.
