I guess #Quickemu isn't quite ready for my usecase. Back to #Libvirtd I go.

Not sure what has changed from Debian 12 from @debian

11, but libvirtd on Arm does not work on 12. I am working on a new video. I have been working on of off for the last several months to get an Arm ISO to boot up libvirtd on Debian 12, only to have it sit the boot screen that the image has started yet.

I might try Ubuntu latest to see if the same, so I can rule out libvirtd.

Was looking into OpenBSD vmm + vmd vs. virtd + virt-manager and apparently vmm can only do single CPU guests and isn't supported by libvirtd. Is this still the case?

So... Is there no "NixOS-er" way to setup bridge networking with #libvirtd, but for the one from the wiki?

I could really use a #Nix way to setting that up instead of doing the whole write my own bridge network config and running commands manually 😅

#ubuntu #multipass look like something for my needs as i use mostly ubuntu virtual machines for test #kernel's. especially it could replace #vmware fusion in my mac mini, which I use to test #arm64 kernels. in my #linux desktop it is not as useful because #libvirtd and #qemu are already perfect for my needs.

My virt-manager was not being able to connect to system in #Fedora 38 for some days, finally had to fix by following the steps mentioned in discussion.fedoraproject.org/t #libvirtd #systemd
