🥴 Ah, the "Friendship Recession"—because apparently, making friends is now as elusive as solving world hunger. 🎭 But fear not! This groundbreaking is here to teach you the lost art of human connection, one irrelevant academic article at a time. 📚✨

🤔 Ah, nothing screams cutting-edge computer science like a trip down memory lane with logarithms and coatless birthday parties. 💼🌼 In this riveting biweekly saga, Linda Liukas invites us to delve into the "Lost Art" of nostalgia—because clearly, calculus and childhood tales go hand in hand. 😂

Faces 2025 Book One, page 20.

This drawing was inspired by a painting by and unknown artist titled "Portrait of A", believed to be poet Ann Akkmatova, from the 1920s (second image). Additional images accompany the painting with more information. I found it on Art of The Zero Category, a website dedicated to a collection of paintings banned in Russia by Stalin. The website is a fascinating look into Stalin-era Russia and the modern art trade. I definitely recommend checking it out. artofthezero.com

f) the optimal breathing rate is 5.5 breaths per minute
g) this is achieved by inhaling through the nose for 5.5 seconds and the exhaling at the same rate
h) a lot of maladies can be improved or even cured by practicing this simple technique
i) idigenous people have been using this technique for millennia

Perhaps when I write about art history I should include a bit about lost and stolen art. It's fascinating how much goes missing.

Information about persecuted #Jewish #art #collectors has a disturbing habit of disappearing from the #internet.

Here are #biographies of Nazi-persecuted Jewish art collectors, formerly published on #Lostart whose urls no longer seem to work.

#Bestpractice in #datascience, digital humanties, and Holocaust studies would suggest that redirects to active pages should be implemented. If not, all references using these urls no longer are valid.

My great grandfather, Moshe Rynecki (1881-1943) painted this scene of Hanukkah. Published in the Polish newspaper, Nasz Przeglad, in December 1937. Moshe perished in the Holocaust. It is unknown if this painting survived the war years. More information about my search for his lost art: elizabethrynecki.com/books/cha

Question d'UX : la carte postale comme icône pour un message non chiffré, c'est mignon, mais est-ce que les moins de 35 ans vont comprendre l'allusion ? #LostArt
