Zajímalo by mě, jestli to je nějaká forma PR spolupráce nebo obsese redakce Živě a Computeru Mapy.com. Teď tam mají o tomto produktu článek snad každý týden a nikdy nezapomenou zmínit, jak úžasný produkt to je. Nejlépe přímo v titulku.
Jednu dobu takhle promovali třeba #Zoner Photo Studio, což jsem taky moc nechápal.

Neříkám, že Mapy.com nejsou dobré. Ale tohle podkuřování nikomu dobrou službu neudělá. Jen to v Češích buduje falešnou představu, že tu máme po všech stránkách unikátní produkt. Přitom trh s mapovými službami je ve skutečnosti hodně rozmanitý.

@sesivany Old thread but still. I thought this was a common practice - I'm from Slovakia and I remember I added some shops in #OSM and then when I checked #MapyCom , at least one of them was already in it with a slightly different name - probably added by user of #MapyCom . But then after the synchronization with #OSM (which happens every few days), they took just the shop I added (maybe merged them?). I suppose someone is sitting there and solves such conflicts

#MapyCom threw me over today in the middle of a trip. Did they ditched seznam accounts with the rebranding?

It's possible to add #Mapycom as a layover to #OsmAnd. Nice!

Konečně! Místo dvou přepínátek „Chci jet po silnici první třídy“ a „Chci jet downhill po kamenech“ přidali normální volby pro normální lidi.

Używanie może być ryzykowne. Mogą w jakiś sposób uzbroić tą aplikację w przyszłości w jednym z update.

Polecicie coś godnego uwagi na #iOS ?
Kojarzę #Mapycz przemianowane na #Mapycom (są też na #Android), teraz płatne za niektóre funkcje typu mapy offline ale może warto wesprzeć naszych południowych sąsiadów?
46 PLN / rok nie wydaje się dużo za ich Premium.

There have been rumours in the #OSM community that they actually copy from OSM. Today I found proof that they really do.
I mapped a new park in #Brno just by surveying and taking notes last year. Later the park showed up on Mapy.com with exactly the same path layout. The new orthophoto is out and it revealed that I didn't get everything right and Seznam got it wrong too. Exactly the same mistakes.
