Two more shows of a similar ilk that I forgot I'd watched; #Love (starring #GillianJacobs & #PaulRust) (an early Netflix show to get 86'd when clearly it should have had another season or two) and #MasterOfNone (primarily starring #AzizAnsari).

Just used #coldfusion to generate a #js file for a #dotnet #dnn site because disconnected modules as part of a single package (that are used for not exactly their intended purpose) didn't do what the client wants. The modules are a product so I couldn't change the code in the package, but I can query the #database with the right information to get it to behave they way they want, with the generated js.

I did consider creating a service but #fetch also doesn't do what we want.

But the heartache of knowing that even the mind and body that essayed a sensitive Indian male portrayal like #MasterOfNone stands accused of a consent violation. There is the race issue. It doesn't erase the sexism problem. Is there any hope for us when this is the Indian man?

I liked seeing a South Indian family in US since Bollywood/ Lazy Hollywood thinks that all Indians speak Hindi, eat butter chicken daily & wear turbans. Bit odd to have them speak Tamil and the son be called Dev Shah though. Esp since Aziz's family IS Tamilian. #MasterOfNone

#MasterOfNone holds up somewhat decently even 8 years after its inception. I wish they had shown a Muslim family as Aziz's parents play his parents in the show. It would have been nice to see a Muslim depiction outside terrorist/magical shayar tropes.

Dev Shah on #MasterOfNone (2015) is still a much more sensitive, responsible cis man than any Indian cis man I know in 2023. Yes, all Indian men. Even in the post-MeToo world, cis men believe that they are owed something for a smile or even an apology.

Quelle excellente surprise que cette troisième saison de Master of None. La série créée par Aziz Ansari faisait déjà preuve d’une grande ambition, mais ces cinq épisodes vont bien au-delà et le résultat est magnifique. Une saison juste et tellement touchante, aussi réussie sur la forme que le fond… j’ai rarement vu quelque chose d’aussi bien.
