I hope 2026 will be the year more people realize that intuition is everyone's personal unreliable narrator. It is a "cave brain" thing not suited for situations more complex than "Where angry tiger in forest?", and certainly not sufficient for judging people or social situations. Yes, ignoring it can be uncomfortable. That's the point of a body function supposed to prevent a fight or flight moment in an actual jungle. But before you make a drastic decision that might hurt you or others due to a brain full of internalised biases (we all have one of these), it's better to get the facts straight.

Sometimes your intuition might be right, sometimes it might be wrong, but unless it's an situation of actual immediate danger, it's not a thing one should use as main source for decision making in a complex world.
