Just arrived from Japan!

I hope the floppy still works.

It was made available to owners running the Japanese version of .

Not sure if was a download of on CD. Even an exported copy of the packages would suffice.

Where's the ?! I know everyone calls it a failure, but where would the Palm, iPhone, or iPad have existed without it?

As of now, you may also access the UNNA.org sites via #HTTPS in addition to standard #HTTP!

Go ahead, try it out:

unna.org/

Newfangled, huh!

Don't worry, we're not taking away the venerable HTTP connectivity, nor will we be automatically redirecting any connections to HTTPS. After all, we need to be able to connect from our #AppleNewton #MessagePad and #eMate!

@Eggfreckles @splorp @masukomi Hey now, I had a 1GB CF card in my 2100. Way more than one and a half songs! That said, the drivers were _sloooow_, so it was about one and a half hours per song to transfer them to the CF card.

To test the latest prerelease version of Newton Connection (NCX), I’m attempting to dump the ROM of my 2100 onto my M4 MacBook Pro over a Newton Interconnect to DIN-8 serial to USB-A to USB-C cable and dongle train.

As one does.

Today was a good day for acquisition … three boxes of goodies from a longtime Newton user. I’m going to inventory and document the new additions for the quiver and hopefully distribute multiple items to the community. A huge thanks to Claus for his generosity.

Revisiting the 3D printed Newton MessagePad 2x00 battery tray. The metal battery springs were just too much for the PLA to handle and it started to split.

So I came up with this idea from a previous print: use heat shrink tubing as a spring. It's flexible enough and provides just the right amount of spring. Wrap copper foil tape around to bridge the two. Working great! If it gives out, simply replace it.

A composition of four photos showing two pieces of heat shrink tubing wrapped with copper foil tape being placed inside the end of a 3D printed battery tray in orange plastic.
