Switched on my Xbox One today to play Forza Horizon 2, the console has been Offline since the insane 400GB of downloads earlier in the year. Yet somehow it would not load the game offline and required an 1.4GB update. I think this must be a scheduled thing as the console had previously checked all updates before I put it offline? Either way I have no choice and cannot play the game without at least an hour of messing about 😑 #Xbox #ModernGaming

Fancied playing some of my old #Xbox360 games, everything a trial version, tried to log into Xbox Live, "there is a problem with your account", tried on the web, already signed in so went to change password, "You've tried to log in too many times, please try later". Unable to play games I own on a console I own even though they're all on the console already.

Go into the living room and put on my RGH 360 I picked up recently. Games just work.

Sea of Theives is a 100 GB game. That’s enough storage to fit the majority of games made prior to 1998 into it, which is thousands of titles.

Tried playing some Switch games in place of retro games today: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Sega Genesis Classics.

They both don’t feel right in my opinion.

I'm all for gaming being for everyone - but at the same time, I hate how the modern #GameIndustry has turned this intent into "a game has to be liked by everyone". Paradoxically, this actually leads to less diversity, at least as far as #MainstreamGames are concerned.

Killing time because I’d planned on playing a little Destiny, only to find they half-shipped the new DLC early, breaking the game for entire countries of players.

The suggested fix: reinstall the game—all 100 GB of it, which takes over an hour on a gigabit connection. It should be faster than that, but I guess the upload at Sony’s end cannot saturate my link.
