J'avais pris des TDK sur le premier, un peu luxe, là j'ai pris Aimtek et Cincon. On va voir ce que ça donne niveau bruit et stabilité, mais vu que c'est moins cher potentiellement c'est moins bien.
Par ailleurs j'ai fabriqué des oreilles dans du coin alu de 2mm, et j'ai commencé à monter les rails d'alim. Pour les fixer je n'ai pas eu le courage de chercher les fixation en nylon autocolant que je dois bien avoir quelque part au fond de mon coffre, j'ai fait des petits cubes en bois et j'ai mis des écrous de 4 en force, et je colle sur le fond. Good enough.
Allez je vais parler un peu d'autre chose que de politique, ça m'évitera la déprime 😖 (et de dire des conneries par la même occasion).
J'avance sur mon rack modulaire, tranquillement. TME a de nouveau en stock des connecteurs IDC / HE10 ce qui fait que j'ai pu refaire mon stock 🙂 j'en ai pris 100, pour ce que ça coûte. J'en donnerai au Lab au pire.
J'ai monté un module d'alim, vu que j'ai fait faire les PCB par JLC j'en ai 5. J'ai pris des modules DCDC différents, en fait le format que j'ai pris est - coup de bol c'était même pas voulu 😅 - assez standard et on trouve plein d'équivalents avec la même empreinte.

I got these strange #midiTracker issues again (did not patch the rack mounted version yet)… it became unusable. But these streams are „stress tests“ so the rest was improvised with what little I had left over.

I'm a bit disenchanted with the #modular community. Whenever I watch module demos, the standard for their use is always the same: these sort of lame techno applications.
I got into modular precisely because it allowed me to get away from grids and things that I could more easily do with drum machines and DAWs, etc. It's sort of depressing to me how many people just fall back on the same formulas, with — you have to admit — pretty lacklustre results.
Hainbach's "2025 Modular Setup" looks a little dubious — and dubiously self-promotional — to me, but if he actually sticks to that one set-up for a whole year, I give him credit.
Never ever would I build a rack like this — even for me, that is too eccentrically limited, but I admit it makes me rethink some of my proclivities and habits.

Since I'm still setting up my BitByBit Synths AP again, I thought I'd post here since there is some crossover. Folks that are using on of my WaveBoy Eurorack modules who have run into a stuck splash screen, I think I have found a workaround.
I will be rolling that out (or rather back) in the next firmware release, 0.62. Folks that are actively having the issue now can send me a PM. I can either provide instructions for how to fix it, and/or you can try the work-in-progress firmware with what I think should fix the issue.
I've oddly not been able to reproduce it which has made tracking it down rather difficult, though I have an educated assumption on what is causing it. I think it's the state module change feature. In 0.62, WB will now just boot to the Menu screen in Wave Output mode. Other settings (like the LFO, VCA and Step output modes) are still saved.

here's the set i did later in the evening to bridge the gap until BbartokK after dark, the last set of the night.
I patched this while the stream was on and it's in the same key ish to what Subjectivize made. I didn't remove the whole patch from earlier, and was able to keep some elements and change other ones.
Somehow I like this more then the first set which I spent days on. it's much slower and more contemplative and this answering machine sample of this woman saying "I feel like I did something wrong" is one that always kills me.
