This is Lock 41, Lower Brake lock at Ty Coch, Cwmbran on the Mon and Brec canal under gloomy skies this week.
This section of the canal is still unnavigable though the locks have been restored recently. The canal here is isolated from sections north and south.
Well worth a walk or cycle along this section. If you're in a car, park at Ty-Coch Lane.

We don't have many canals in Wales but the Mon and Brec in South Wales is regarded as one of the most scenic in the UK.
This view is just north of Llangattock near Crickhowell. Taken last week.
The canal is very quiet at the moment as the Canal and River Trust (CRT) who own this part are doing winter maintenance on various sections.

Here's one of my more recent photos - taken from the towpath of the Mon and Brec canal between Llangattock and Gilwern.
The boats are hire boats that have come down to the Herons Rest Marina for maintenance.
