The clean and crisp image was such a contrast to the moribund tunnel it inhabited, making him all but certain that it couldn't be part of the original structure; that it must have been left by them. Wiping the sweat from his palms, Kane took out his harvesting tools and closed the remaining distance. If it hadn't killed him yet, it had to be one of the duds... right?
