Sad to see the president of the once most powerful country in the world shamelessly making a telenovella out of a war that costs the lives of thousands of people. Knowingly deceiving everyone that peace is within reach, on a day that already made clear that that 'tremendous' progress would never be acceptable.

Trump claims his team has made "tremendous progress" on ending the war in Ukraine, stating only a few points of disagreement remain in the revisec U.S.-led peace plan. He's sending envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow and Army Secretary Dan Driscol to meet with Ukrainians. Trump says he'll meet with Zelensky and Putin only when a deal is nearly finalized.
