Wir würden uns gerne ne kleine NAS mit RAID für die Wohnung anschaffen. Einfach um die Daten die bisher auf X Geräten rumfliegen sicher zu haben, falls doch mal was kaputt geht.

Was ich gefunden hab war 400€ für 2x4TB. Kommt das so hin?

Mad props to Jellyfin devs - this is a great app on all my devices.

Installing it (with a lot of help from ChatGPT) on my Synology NAS took a few hours but hot-damn this is a great user experience!

All the old TV shows and movies I've collected over the years available securely on any family member's device. Old home movies are being watched and delighting everyone.

Da war ich die Tage mal im Büro ... da lacht mich im Elektroschrott ein HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT i7-7700 an. Den durfte ich mitnehmen. Aus anderen Kisten 32GB RAM zusammengesucht und zu Hause die alten SSD und Festplattenbestände durchgesehen.

Nun läuft darauf ein Proxmox auf SSD und als Datengrab ein 660GB ZFS raidz (Raid5) Pool - für 0 Euro 😃

Im IDLE verbraucht der unter 15 Watt.

Nachdem #Synology vom Pfad der Tugend abgekommen ist und bei neuen Modellen nur noch eigene HDDs und SSDs akzeptiert, scheint #Ugreen sich zu einer echten #NAS Alternative zu mausern. Werde da definitiv ein Auge drauf behalten.

Für den Familienkalender via CalDAV/CardDAV laufen auf dem 25-Euro-NAS die drei üblichen Systeme problemlos: Baikal, Radicale und Davis.

- Davis hat die "hübscheste" Ansicht und ein paar Zusatzfunktionen, Installation war etwas umständlich

- Radicale ist das einfachste und "leichteste" System, Installation nicht besonders schwer

- Baikal ebenfalls ressourcenschonend mit dem Vorteil der 1-Klick-Installation
