About time they saw the error of their ways. Unfortunately it's far too late. I am not throwing away my Synology NAS anytime soon (expensive!) but when replacement time comes, it won't be from them. The trust is gone. In the meantime, online recommendations have all been "well Synology is easy to use, but they're turning evil so go with X instead". Major self own. Let's hope other vendors are paying attention.
