A reminder that Hamas is the democratically-elected GOVERNMENT OF the Gaza Strip. So it is natural that all governmental functions there are "operated by Hamas." Their data have consistently been accurate to the point that WE IN U.S. INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES have accepted them as reliable. Noting that something happening in #Palestine is "Hamas-operated" doesn’t make you sound objective--it raises an instant red flag that the poster may be echoing Zionist talking points (which Geri here DEFINITELY IS NOT; she's also a well-established ally!) But we need to watch out how we talk about things; accepting language manufactured in #IsraelAtWarCrimes into our own narratives, even innocently like this, is how #normalization happens.
