Had A Fire

Today I tragically took out the stove range and #NYFD had to read it its rights. I imagine with the #NY #stayathome order, public service is swamped with calls from noobs like me not used to doing at home things and literally burning the house down. Thank you for your service and making sure my wiring was ok and reassuring me that I did the right thing by calling cuz I felt like a total scrub.

In September 2001, this statue became the focus of Glasgow's tributes to those who died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, especially the 343 members of the New York Fire Department who lost their lives trying to save the lives of others. In October 2001, 200 members of the Scottish Fire Brigade gathered here to pay their respects to their fallen New York Colleagues.

A semi-trailer full of something or other was burning on 278 W this morning around 10:30 AM. The NYFD was out there blasting the trailer with water. That whole side of the highway was shut down and people were parked and standing around.
