Attended a photography workshop up in Crescent City, CA this past weekend with one of the spots being at Damnation Creek Trail. It is well known for fog and blooming rhododendron flowers (when in bloom.) During the workshop, we didn't have much luck with foggy mornings but on my drive home it was foggy so I stopped to get some pictures.

Galahs having a poke around the improvements of the second larger hollow. Major works were carried out to address the issues left from the first Arborists efforts.

The design is to attract much smaller birds.

Corellas having a look at the tree's new hollows.

It's likely my feed will be a little parrot/bird heavy for a while as interest around the habitat tree is something I'm keen to see.

We've certainly had plenty of parrots around our tree and yard for years, however the new hollows and renovations made by a local arborist with the hollowhog tool has certainly seen increased interest with perspective tenants.

Sulphur Crested Cockatoo having a sticky beak at the new digs carved into the habitat tree.

These guys a NOT on my list of preferred tenants as they are just way too noisy and destructive.
