Middle of Analog Nowhere. The mage faces a towering giant. It's a MATA swordsman. The mage killer.

The two eye each other carefully. The mage is wielding OpenBlade. It begins:

OpenBlade: "Parry, then stab!"

Mage: "Be quiet."

OpenBlade: "Okay, I got it. Wait for him to swing, roll, then cut off his-"

Mage: "Shut up!"

OpenBlade: "DUCK!!!"

The Mage Killer swings at the mage with a huge sword. She nearly dodges. A few strands of her hair are removed.

OpenBlade: "Close one."

OpenBlade whispers: "throw me..."

Mage can't believe its words.

The Mage Killer watches her carefully, preparing to strike again.

BLAM!

The Mage Killer's head is blown clean off.

OpenBlade: "Nice."

Mage: "That wasn't me..."

OpenBlade: "That much is obvious."

The mage looks behind her, noticing a robed figure with a smoking rifle over its shoulder.

OpenBlade: "A mage? You know them?"

Mage: "I might."

It's the other child from the tribe of primitivists who was rescued by the techno-mage of the 9 clan, all grown up. Rabbit teeth peak out of their mouth. There is a 9 badge on their robe. They smile.
