Der markante Torre del Sperpe bei Otranto ragt stolz an der Küste empor. Ein Monument vergangener Zeiten, das Wind und Wetter getrotzt hat und heute als stiller Wächter die Landschaft prägt. Auffällig ist, dass der Turm nur halb-rund ist. Dies ist wohl kein Verfall, sondern seine ursprüngliche Bauform: halbrunde Körper sind typisch für diese Art von Küstenwachtürmen und diente der besseren Verteidigung und Beobachtung.

Trotz des leichten Regens, der am Morgen dem starken Regen der vergangenen Nacht folgt, breche ich zu einer Küstenwanderung auf. Ich werde reich belohnt: ein prächtiger Regenbogen spannt sich über das Meer und schenkt mir einen magischen Moment voller Farben und Ruhe.
