To the surprise of absolutely no parents, most household infections (70.5%) have #kids as #PatientZero. 166k families participated in the cohort study that involved smart thermometers with app. Dr. Griffin points out there are lots of limitations here, including the apparent sharing of thermometers, and the study population only included families with children who bought this smart device. But also using fever as first indication of illness.

First mod on #PatientZero finally completed!

I borrowed a Dremel tool, drilled the required holes and sanded down the new pick guard to a shape that mostly fits. It's sitting slightly on top of the tremolo, so not perfect yet - you can see the shadow it casts in the second image. But all in all I'm happy with how it turned out.

Once it's not the middle of the night I'll see how well the pickup shielding performs and attempt some fine-tuning of the neck. :)

- Getting to know the insides and cabling
- Applying copper shielding to reduce humming in the pickups

What I learned so far:

- one roll of copper tape is not nearly enough
- copper shielding tape is *really* good at cutting fingers XD
