The first third party test of the #DonutLab (claimed) #solidStateBattery are released. Done by VTT, it confirms that the battery is capable of very fast charging without active cooling.

So in a little more than a day, we will see Finnish's state-own research facility (who have no business in lying or covering up) publish it's report on #DonutLab #SolidStateBattery.
Exciting moments.
The strangesting thing about the #DonutLab #SolidStateBattery fiasco isn't that they sound too good to be true. The strangesting thing is that if this is a scam, this is the dumbest scam.
If this was a money thing, their best bet IMHO would be to drag on their timeframe to absorb funds before their lie got exposed. They shouldn't promise a market product to be on market in months.
So far, I haven't read nothing but skepticism about the extraordinary promises of #DonutLab and their new #solidstate #battery.

New information related to the #DonutLab #solidStateBattery saga. The #Verge #EV motorbike company, which is closely related to Donut Lab, has finances that are in such a mess that the auditor refused to sign the financial statement. Missing inventory management, sales receipts etc paint a picture of irregular business practises. A statement reads that the company's continuation depends on 'ongoing funding discussions', which currently 'lack commitments'.

This week brought a lot of unpleasant headlines, but none made me feel uneasy like the news that Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson was subjected to an unexpected visit by the FBI at her house Wednesday that concluded with investigators confiscating her work and personal laptops, her phone and her smartwatch–all seized, it now seems, on a fraudulent pretext. Since then, the man who spent his equivalent of pocket change to buy the Post in 2013 has said nothing about that in public, yet another way in which Jeff Bezos has shown himself an unworthy successor to Katharine Graham and her son Don Graham.

Writing this left me feeling over my skis more than usual–I don’t cover battery technology in any great depth, this startup has disclosed almost nothing about the design of its solid-state batteries, and two outside analysts weren’t willing to assess their pitch. But reading up at length on this company and on others working on better EV batteries did make me realize one thing: There’s enough innovation happening here that we don’t need Donut’s invention to work.
