Well, 10 meter SSB was pretty much bleh this weekend, so I just did some digital for giggles. Got a few fun places, but would have loved to have much more SSB.

Radyo parazit gürültüsünü tamamen sessizleştirebiliyor!

Gerçi yayın çekiş kalitesi çok kötüyse, arada yayından gelen sesi de ayırt edemeyip gürültü ile birlikte kırpabiliyor!

Fakat yine de çoğunlukla çok kullanışlı.

Özellikle Kısa Dalga (SW)'da çok ciddi konfor arttırıyor.

Keşke TECSUN PL-330'da da olsaydı.

Radyo almak için çok beklemiştim.

Çünkü araştırırken şelâleli radyoları görüp hayran olmuştum ve klasik radyolar gözüme modası geçmiş gibi görünmeye başlamıştı.

Fakat şelâleli SDR Radyolar pahalıydı!

Bu yüzden uzun süre radyo alamadım.

Sonunda RTL2832U USB2.0 DVB-T DAB FM SDR dongle aldım ve şelâleli ekran hevesimi giderdim.

Fakat çekim gücü çok zayıftı. Ne yaptıysam verim alamadım.

TECSUN PL-330 ise aynı antenle çok iyiydi.

After a 2 month hiatus I spent some of today on my #ssb client for #HaikuOS. Today's bit of progress: it shows user nicknames under post authors' cryptographic IDs.

The hard part was how to keep my RF adapters. Check out this website that makes creating boxes easy. Then 3D print it.
These are stackable.
Yes, the RF adapters were measured for best fit because that's how I roll.

❄️ Survived Winter Field Day 2026!

I headed out to a field near Bonn for the annual cold-weather stress test. The elements definitely showed up: -2°C, icy rain, and pitch blackness during setup. It was a true shakedown - my telescopic mast even froze shut! 🥶

I started fully focused on CW, but realized that Winter Field Day feels distinctly more SSB biased (given the event's focus on emergency communications, where voice is often the primary mode). So I eventually plugged in the mic and logged my first-ever portable SSB contacts. Lesson learned: Next time, I’m bringing the mic into the game much earlier! 🎤

A massive thanks to the organizers for their efforts in making this event happen. It’s a great way to find the breaking points in your kit.

The first three become more and more important.

Spaßfakt: Die DT8 (heißen die so?) der #SSB wurden auf der Hardtbahn getestet, weil die Strecke in Stuttgart noch nicht fertig war.
Und im Straßenbahnmuseum der SHB werden Karlsruher Wagenführer und Fahrgäste gelobt, weil sie auf Kinderwägen Rücksicht nehmen und beim Verladen helfen, auch im Hochflurer.
Dort gibt es auch Bilder der Probefahrten.
