Today there was a bump of interest in my solo RPG "Welcome Aboard, Captain".

This happens sometimes for my games. when a podcaster or YouTuber covers a game, but I can only reliably know that if people leave comments, which isn't often.

Still, it's gratifying to see interest in a passion project! It's especially heartening when they leave a TIP (!!) when they buy; it's a vote of confidence in your game that feels really encouraging!

Finally the stars aligned tonight and I found motivation, time, energy and enough creative focus to continue my #Starforged campaign.

Just before my long break I had fought the killer emu and won, and as I figured out/decided today, my strong hit with a match back then meant a fetch quest I was on could get cut a bit shorter. Which is good because I really didn't find that all too interesting.

Now I'm back at the settlement. Next time I'll continue a crime investigation 😄

My campaign journal opened on a desk, the current spread completely filled with my hand writing - mostly in black, rolls and such documented in blue. Behind that a bunch of sheets and the reference guide of Starforged, as well as a small dice tray with dice.

A little solo journaling TTRPG I am working on for a jam with a generous deadline: You get to play a dragon! A big one!

If anybody knows how to finally get rid of that damn path, let me know.

The tough part will be, that this is the digital version, and I aim to create the final not only in trad media but as an infinity card. Which will be super cool, but may cost me some nerve and sleep.

A challenge when at the end of a game journal is trying to make sure there is no split of scene/chapter so the continuation is clear. This time I establish a clock ticking down to a deadline which kept the game moving.

a theory: it's ok to add stuff that make the PC's life harder. In this case a wedding and used an announcement party as the ticking clock for Chapter 11. Also hinting at grandparents that did not know the PC existed. Lots of messy moving parts.

My PC visits a local university looking for clues and gets help from a 10 year old girl and almost fights a local superhero, also long word balloon conversations shaped by the dice.
