The original map was printed in Black and White and hand coloured using colouring pencils on hand. The purple originally didn't differentiate enough with the lighter pink so heavier pressure was applied.

Congratulations to Megan Davidson who won an award for her Masters thesis last night. Her work looked at data selection for tactile maps for blind and low vision users.
