This was my first plein air this year. I liked sketching birches with oil pastels and coloured pencils. Usually I use some paints but this time I grabbed graphic materials and it was awesome experience.

I rarely manage to get myself to sit down and actually study, and when i do it is really hard to shut down my brain and ignore all the small detail, i often get really bogged down at tryin to get proportions perfect.
Took me a few tries to get to this result, which is not by any means perfect - but it is believable enough. Working with big shapes and planes (construction!) was eventually what got me to a result i felt content with.
