My thoughts during big games:

I can’t recall when I stopped paying attention to sports. I used to know who won the World Series all the way back for decades, I was that obsessed with baseball. When I had insomnia, I’d watch ESPN classic so I could see games that were played before I was born. I lived to attend games, even in the cheap seats. I followed on my transistor radio & kept track in the only thing I ever bought at the ball park, the game day mag.

Now? Ho-hum.

To anyone else, this is just a photo of a partially frozen pond surrounded by trees. To me, this is a special place where I spent a great deal of my childhood. The old shack I salvaged items from yesterday stands on its shore nearby.

I joined the #birdsite in 2009 and it was described as a cocktail party where you can move from one conversation to another and have a good ol' time. Eventually, it evolved (devolved?) into what it is now. I just hope to @god that Mastadon stays pretty much as it is now with some technical improvements along the way.

The "company" may not be owned but the trademark is listed with a German LLC (non-profit).

I don't know if this is wishful thinking or not.
