Dopo più di otto anni ho salutato #Todoist. È stato un ottimo servizio e per me molto utile, ma le recenti decisioni relative al prezzo mi hanno lasciato con queste due opzioni parimenti antipatiche:
1. Continuare a pagare per un servizio che non avrebbe più ricevuto tutti gli aggiornamenti;
2. Accettare un aumento di prezzo di più del 100% (nel mio caso), ingiustificato per l’uso che faccio del software.
Quindi ho preso la terza via: salutarli. Per ora sono su #TickTick, poi si vedrà.
Être diagnostiqué #TDAH (sans le H pour moi), c’est bien.
Mais comment on fait pour vivre avec ?
Ma recette (presque) magique, c’est #TickTick pour l’outil, et #PARA pour la méthode. Vraiment, ça a changé ma vie. Vraiment.

I was puzzled why the Command-Shift-P shortcut in #VSCode / #Cursor for the suddenly stopped working. Turns out that shortcut was captured by a new app #TickTick that I had just installed to start a Pomodoro.
Also solved the other mystery my TickTick kept asking me to take a break from time to time. 🤦♂️

@techlifeweb #Ticktick. It’s the culmination of many years of researching and testing upwards of maybe 30-40 task management systems. I know Todoist is one of the darlings of the todo field and has been forever, but TT outshines it in many areas. Outshone perhaps, since I haven’t reevaluated Todoist in many months, but TT checks every single box I ever had for a personal tskmgmt system.
Once I return to work I will also return to my custom task system using #Trello. More complex but necessary.
@DevWouter My ever-growing setup is super complex with nested lists, tags, filters, and I'm pretty much at the edge of outgrowing #TickTick, as I did with #RememberTheMilk a year or so ago. It will be interesting to visualize my tasks in two dimensions instead of just a one-dimensional list.

I’ve tried them all. #Notion, #Todoist, #Things3, #OmniFocus, #Asana, #Trello, #AnyDo, #TickTick. I even built my own todo app once (spoiler: I never finished it). After years of productivity app hopping, I’m back to where I started: a plain text file called todo.txt

I never found anything that really suited my needs in that environment. Yes, even Org-mode.
My savior is #TickTick. It has everything I need, centralized in one single app.
No, it is not open-source. But man, it does the job. And I need to get the job done, not to tweak and groom complex systems.

@chriscochrun I've spent about 20 years searching for the perfect task management system, and perhaps about five recent years hunting for a good PKM. I've actually been meaning to write a blog post in detail about my hunt since there's a lot more I would cover than the quick responses I've given to that question.
#Obsidian is comprehensive, far better than its competitors (such as they are) and free.
#Ticktick is extremely quick to enter tasks, instant syncing and a great free plan.
@chriscochrun I use two systems for those.
#Ticktick for task management.
#Obsidian for knowledge management.
Neither are FOSS but limiting oneself to that mandate is walking away from some of the best software on the planet.
If you’re after EMACS related stuff I got nothing. The only thing I know of is arcane and confusing beyond all hope of redemption.
