Hello everyone,

We are starting a new open-source project to control transceivers using voice commands via our offline speech-to-text engine ( github.com/sl5net/SL5-aura-ser ).

Our plan is to use OmniRig V1 as the universal backend. We've managed to connect to its COM object in Python, but we are now looking for the developer documentation for the COM interface itself (a reference of all methods, properties, and events like .FreqA, .SetFreq, etc.).

Could anyone point us to the right resources?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@PattaFeuFeu @scy @homeassistant Right. There are #transceivers out there, but they are a little more expensive. I haven't been keeping up with the field, but #HackRF is one that goes in both directions and is relatively cheap.

Be aware that you may need an #FCC license to transmit. A Technical License to operate as a #ham is pretty simple to get with a weekend of studying. In the 433 ISM band and under X watts of power, you may not need one, I'm not clear.

Roger Lapthorn G3XBM has contributed two #hamradio "Project Scrapbooks" that he's written to #dlarc They document circuits he's designed and other projects he's done in his garage over the years, including #antennas, #transceivers, transmuters, over the horizon optical communications, and more. See them both at archive.org/search.php?query=c

you can contribute your #amateurradio creations to this online library, too :)
