Microsoft teams chat is a lot better than WhatsApp.

For one, teams chat works across all your devices and user setups.

Whatsapp can't handle multiple devices and single devices with one person and two user setups. With Whatsapp, you get one main device and a couple linked devices. But it doesn't work on a single device where one user has multiple profiles. And if you login to it on another device without linking it from the main device and forget to backup your data, you lose all your chat history.

Microsoft teams doesn't have these issues.

"FacebookMetaInstagram" is a stagnant monopoly. They stifle innovation.

For example, while messages on Google Chat and Microsoft Teams can be edited indefinitely, (an important function for managing our digital footprints), whatsapp gives you a couple minutes (effectively nothing) and while you could delete messages on FB Messenger, you cannot edit them at all.

Fuck Facebook.

That deal for them to purchase Whatsapp never should have gone through.

sms/rcs sucks. It's not cloud based and it doesn't work across multiple devices or user profiles.

A random PSA -
a scheduled sms from one user profile on Android will only be sent out when you're logged into that specific user profile. For example, if you schedule an sms for 1pm the next day, and you're not logged in to that user profile by 1pm, it won't send until you do login, and in that case, it will automatically send *whenever* you do login. So for example, you get this type of thing. (Attached)

That message was scheduled for 1pm today. I did not send it now. It went out because I just logged into this profile. Sorry on behalf of sms which was designed in the 1970s. I had meant to delete the scheduled messages as I thought that might occur, however, I fell asleep, forgetting to delete the scheduled message that was sent from the phones secondary profile. The phone is on the default profile over night and during the day and I didn't log into the secondary profile until night after work. Now I know that if I schedule an sms via one user profile on Android, it will not go out unless I'm actually logged into that user profile.
