"The U.S. is notorious for incurring the highest costs per capita of any wealthy nation, yet failing to achieve an even remotely equivalent improvement in patient outcomes versus Europe’s social market-based economies.

Trump claims US outspends on healthcare globally
The claim: Trump said the US spends more money on healthcare than any other country in the world.
What Trump said:
“We have a public health system that does not deliver in times of disaster, yet more money is spent on it than any country anywhere in the world.”
The facts: Trump is correct. The US does spend more on healthcare per capita, almost twice the average of other wealthy countries.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE ADDED: US Healthcare outcomes are among the worst of the "wealthy nations" - We're Number 12 in life expectancy. Maternal Mortality -#64 Cardiovascualr dsease- # 5
Why is the President proud that we are wasting so much money?

I can't boost this post enough
this is why we need universal health care
not medicare for all
not medicare advantage for all
not medicaid for all
just, universal health care.
I don't give a shit about UBI. you wanna give someone $1000/month when health care cost $2000/month? how about just give them health care.
Finally, after 4 1/2 months of fucking around, someone FINALLY let slip that if I got a different doctor (other than my heart doctor) to call it in they could give me the discount.
$7 for a 30-day supply, instead of $600.
Despite the fact that both doctors are part of the same medical umbrella.

Today is Entyvio infusion day, so my street value goes up around $20,000.
Every 8 weeks. 20 grand worth of liquid goes into my veins so my body doesn’t eat my digestive tract. And is begrudgingly paid for by my insurance. For now.
