Wrote up our RTCon 2025 talk on TURN security threats. TURN servers are basically open proxies with extra steps. At DEF CON someone showed C2 over Zoom's TURN infra.

Took up some work on fledger/danu - cleaned up once more the way it connects to other nodes. It's incredible how many things can go wrong when doing decentralized systems :)

I'm also working on creating a simple to use npm library for danu. So you can do something like:

Компания: Заблокировала все бесплатные (нелицензионные) подключения из России и в Россию Прекратила продажу новых лицензий Отказалась продлевать существующие контракты Если вы сейчас скачаете TeamViewer и попробуете подключиться — получите «Невозможно подключиться к партнёру». @lminiero Discord wise, they announced they'll start asking for ID to use the services.

And none of the alternatives apease my friends (mumble is good enough for me, but alas), so here am I (wishful) thinking about building a simple app that ticks their boxes: voice channels (not only 1:1 calls), video calls/share and screenshare, which #webrtc seems to be the best, but I thought (wrongly) it required a browser involvement.

After the Discord news, was looking up on #webrtc, which seems to be the gold standard, with #MoQ as a runner up, bit still early stages.
Does anyone knows another, mature, alternative?

Я давно увлекаюсь и изучаю технологии WebRTC. Устанавливал для клиентов множество WebRTC медиа серверов и кастомизировал их. Но постоянно не хватало гибкости. В итоге обнаружил чистую реализацию WebRTC на Golang, которая умеет и MESH, и SFU. Сейчас буду рассказывать, что удалось разработать и в чем польза.
