Make or receive calls directly from the CLI with `li call` commands. Either the Qt GUI appears, or you can even see video right inside your terminal (!).
You can also redirect stdin/stdout (e.g.; with a pipe or a file), or use a custom GStreamer pipeline; allowing fun things such as:

I've been working a lot on improving one2one audio/video implementation lately, in particular with CLI frontend.
Among the goodies, it is now possible to use custom GStreamer pipeline descriptions (for sources and/or sinks) and to redirect stdin or stdout.
For fun, you can now send a Blender movie to your friends with something like:
`$li call make pierre@example.net < ~/blender/Agent\ 327\ -\ Operation\ Barbershop.webm`.

I was tuning a couple of video conference tools today.
All the classic #webrtc SFUs seem to assume they are on a high bandwidth symmetrical network connection.
They also seem to assume that all the joiners have asymmetrical connections with more downlink than uplink.
Which is fine if your server is in the cloud and your users are on home broadband.
If you want to host them on an asymmetrical link (e.g. FTTP 1G/100 ) then they start to struggle with quite small numbers of users.

В рамках развития собственного понимания тонкостей парной разработки программ с участием LLM-агентов я решил создать PWA для видеочата на базе WebRTC при помощи Codex-агента.
@FinchHaven @yawnbox @davep except @signalapp chose to use #AWS (and @Mer__edith chose to not migrate away from it) as well as #Signal chose to bloat from #TextMessaging to centralized #VideoCalling.
There are better options and even if Signal refused to #decentraloze they could've easily outsorced the most workload to users with #P2P #WebRTC.
If people accept nonexisting dedicaded Servers for AAA FPS games sold for $60+, then they certainly can deal with P2P videocalls in a "Free"* App…
Free as in: Relying on big donations because the people behind it can't even do a #Shitcoin #Scam properly...
