#FediCon2025 wrapped up yesterday. I skipped both afterparties NOT because I'm anti social but because I needed to fast this weekend!
As a recovered Diabetic Type 2, I don't take insulin shots (anymore) but I do have to fast often. This meant all day fast during this amazing #DecentralizedWeb conference. Intentionally didn't eat anything all day Friday and Saturday (save some throat lozenges per day and chewing gum).
I had lotsa filtered water & movement: Friday, I did a Tech networking walk instead of dinner; got home around 9pm, had my One Meal of the day (meal prepped the night before) of coleslaw, rice & beans, egg salad on bread.
Saturday, I Zumba'd for lunch by the Vancouver Art Gallery (Philippine Nurse's Day). Sunshine, fresh air, smiles, high fives. Needed salt so had 2 Hawaiian pizza slices, 5 chicken wings, some pork rinds, and coconut water for dinner at 7pm.
Both days, I racked up approx. 22,000 steps and torched around 2500 kcal according to my Fitbit. Feeling good RN despite being tired!
