First fire after some months. I fired up my self-built oven up about 200 times. Just opened the door briefly. Hot as hell.
Now its time to plaster the oven in the next weeks and embed the iron frame. That won't be easy. Don't rush into anything, do your research thoroughly.

both myself & hubby have backgrounds in hospitality. we love a good cook. hubby loves a BBQ or Wood oven session. about 3 years ago he built a wood oven in our garden attached to the back of our brick BBQ. both are made from reclaimed items. from old economy 7 bricks to old flues from the tip. even some Purbeck stone someone was giving away free. when we use the wood oven we cook at least 3 meals to make full use. from overnight slow cooked chilli to pizza.
