I rarely agree with Republicans during the Trump era. But in the NYC mayoral debate, the GOP candidate unleashed a zinger at Andrew Cuomo which reminded viewers how credible accusations about Cuomo's sex abuse caused him to resign to avoid his being removed by the legislature.

Thorup 2013 (p264) calls out the “growing confidence in the ‘over-confident individual’—a leader who has proven his or her financial competence and is now assumed to also be capable of providing ‘solutions’ to social problems.”
