@saposcat @NaraMoore @orionkidder And I appreciate your efforts. I have to be creative and heavily edit myself because of my character limit. No rambling for me.

I also take seriously the responsibility for keeping the prompts straight. If I get it wrong, that’s on me. That’s why I copy them and have your resource page bookmarked. After all the effort your team puts in, that’s the least I can do.

@saposcat @NaraMoore @orionkidder It sure works better than one person answering the wrong prompt, and then the next five people copy from them. 🤣

@saposcat @NaraMoore @orionkidder I’ve edited the question down to just a few key words since forever and I’ve never had anyone who was confused about which question I was answering. For the rare occasions when I want to say more, I write a second post.

@saposcat@indieauthors.social @gahlearner @Saposcat@mendeddrum.org @willelm It’s as whimsical as you want to make it. It’s also as meaningful as you want to make it. 😃

@gahlearner @Saposcat @willelm My initial thought about tomorrow’s prompt? What the heck…? 🤔

My next thought? I love this! 😃

@Saposcat @gahlearner @willelm

Looking ahead to tomorrow's prompt, a thought struck me…

How about a one-word prompt? That's it. A single word, any word, that the person is free to interpret and answer as they'd like. In other words, what that word means to them (creatively speaking) at that moment.

Would there be pitfalls? I don't know. I haven't thought it out, quite frankly, but it's an idea to consider (unless you already have).

Oh my gosh, I've contributed!

@SJHoodlet @IsobelLynn Agreed. Azza isn't just fashionable, he owns it. Have to admire that. 😃

@gahlearner @aurora Sorry if I offended in any way. It wasn't intentional. My praise was meant as an explanation of why I find this particular hashtag special. I enjoy questions on the others, am thankful for their efforts, and have had limited interactions with those who run them. SAM, though, has the most personal touch that is greatly appreciated, even if I was too zealous in my praise.

@saposcat I place the questions on my computer when they appear at the end of the month so I haven't needed it. It is, though, nice to know I have a backup plan.

I've read through the FAQs out of curiosity.

I haven't needed the Knowledge Base &, at this point, am wary of Groups after past experiences.

I will say, though, that the resources are well organized and simple to navigate.

@aurora @gahlearner You said it well. It's nice to know those who organize also participate and enjoy interacting with those who do participate. It makes the entire experience feel like a group. It has a personal touch.

#Today 25

Good day!

To say our drought continues is to grossly understate the situation. We’ve just emerged from our “rainy” season having received but a fraction of the expected rain—again.

No wonder I’m becoming a prune.

Well, besides the whole aging thing. Time for a hike.

Be everwell.

Woody Mountain. An image rich in green. Through a gap in the trees in a forest predominantly conifers, a wooded mountain is visible beneath a cloudy sky.

@gahlearner Guess I'll just have to work on the coffee on this end. ☕

Actually, what I love most about the hashtag, now that I think about it, is that it feels like there are real humans behind it.

Humanity is becoming so rare that it's startling when we find it.

valuing appearances?

And the award goes to…

Glistenelle Primara. Already gorgeous, platinum-haired, ice-blue eyed Gliss looks good no matter the circumstances, & she’s landed in some terrifying situations.

Among the men?

Maniff can do rugged in style, or tip champagne with the wealthy. He’s intellect with muscle & has a gift for wittiness—while making suits look good.

Riparia is a fence sitter, an outdoorsy woman who cleans up well.

critique time!

Like? The variety of unusual questions are stimulating & prompt more interaction than elsewhere, especially on featured & help days. I find the replies more considering, the exposure to other arts inspiring.

The coffee could be better (oh, wait, that’s me).

Oh how I wish I had suggestions for you to do more of what you’re doing. I have a fragment of a thought where we contribute inspiration. Meaning? I’ve no idea.

languages, conlangs

Earth languages aren’t allowed in Ontyre tales (they’re written in Emprensen while I’m in Ontyre, which becomes English when transported here via the astral plane).

There’s Old Elf (it survived, but the elves didn’t…not exactly). The ora’ean use it on a limited basis & I have a dictionary for it, but use it sparingly (I’m no linguist).

There’s also Shadow Language. It infamously enters the series in Book-4 (spoiler).

@IsobelLynn They are! Okay, they do have claws, and there are those teeth for chewing through branches, but otherwise they’re adorable. Zepha has five of them (Azure, Cerise, Jade, Silver, and Tawny). They have different personalities and are protective of their struggling human.

I mostly do cute when it comes to animals. The Kovenlore Chronicles began with Doppla the horse in Book-1. Book-2 introduced Mazatta the crow and Trayla the cirque cat (a saber tooth lynx).

#Today 24

Good day!

I’ve started using my editing system on Book-4, something I’ll be working on for most, if not all, of the summer.

Our temperatures are returning to normal, which means dry & mild. In other words, ideal.

Soon, very soon, I need to embark on a hike.

Be everwell.
