@TreseBrothers Hooray! Started a new game and love tension of the stealth-action. The rising security level gives you some urgency, but there's still big tactical benefits to pacing yourself and picking off lone enemies or avoiding combat altogether.

They also did a system level change which altered virtually every characters' best combo routes, so they threw away my homeowork there too.

Also, changing the side steps to be better was such a system warping decision that never should have been implemented in the middle of the game's life span.
It's not even strictly worse, but it changes so many interactions. A huge amount of moves can be sidestepped in situations they previously couldn't, and since #Tekken is basically a game about knowledge checks, it feels like they tore up all my homework from season 1 and asked me to redo it.

Okay, so normally I'm content to not play or talk about games I dislike, but work is having a #Tekken8 tournament and I want to represent my studio, so I'm trying to learn season 2 even though it's terrible and goddamn did they fuck up my favorite game of last year.
Why does every goddamn character need a 500 range neutral skip into an advantage situation? It railroads the strategy into press your buttons first and then play paper-rock-scissors.

Also, it will never not be funny to me that you can gank players, steal their gear, and RANSOM THEIR CAPTURED WAIFU! That's such a hardcore thing for anime/JPOP tie-in game; I have no idea what #BandaiNamco was thinking when they green lit this.
So I don't think #SyndualityEchoOfAda is a great game, but I am impressed with how the developers seem flexible in response to player feedback. It was originally envisioned as a pretty hardcore PvPvE #ExtractionShooter, but it seems like most of the players preferred to just PvE. So for season 2, they made a bunch of mechs/weapons that were previously PvP faction only available to all players. They're also adding a PvE-only raid-like map.
My two-year-old daughter and I will sometimes walk around our neighborhood at ~10pm looking for the moon.
We couldn't find it on our walk tonight, but as we were returning to our driveway, I saw a glimmer on a mountaintop that looked too bright to be house lights.
So I picked her up, and together we watched a full moon rise from that glimmer and sit atop the mountain as a brilliantly glowing orb.
I never seen that before, and am so happy I shared it with my daughter.
And if you do want to trade, it's a way better experience to use the in-game AH then going to a 3rd party app.
You also can't sell items you buy on the AH, which means no making a fortune arbitrage trading.
And the chef's kiss moment for me is that you have to earn favor with the Merchant Guild to buy/sell items, and you can only do that BY PLAYING GAME.
#EleventhHourGames did such a good job to support item trading without letting it overwhelm the actual gameplay.

One of the things that drove me away from #PathOfExile 1 was that I frequently felt like I would progress faster by item trading than playing the game.
#LastEpoch fixed this with some really good ideas.
You can align with 1 of 2 factions:
The Merchant Guild supports trading via an in-game auction house.
The Circle of Fortune gives a variety of really powerful item finding benefits, giving you a path to power without trading.

Set items in #ARPG s have mostly been relegated to mid-tier items that are exciting to find when leveling, but not great once you're at end game.
At least, if you're not playing #LastEpoch, which added an endgame mission where you can break down set items and craft their bonuses onto other gear.
It's a great way to open up interesting builds + makes set items more useful in general.
Proud Husband movement: Wife got a short story published! And granted, that's happened many times, but as an #HPLovecraft fan, it's super cool to see her name next to "The Best in Cosmic Horror and Weird Fiction."
@midnightspire Great Job! That's a huge milestone! There's still some work to go, but it's always a relief when you can start to see the finish line.
