There are two ways to complete the Newfoundland mission in #XCOM.
You can do as Bradford says: set the radio beacon and run like hell from the pursuing swarm of angry giant alien bugs.
Or you can line up on the upper deck of the fishing boat, shoot *all* of the aliens from up there, and *then* set the beacon and leave.
Believe it or not, the latter is the easy way to complete the mission. Bugs can't shoot back.
Once upon a time, I was playing through #XCOM 2, and one of the randomly generated operatives was a ranger with blonde hair in a ponytail and a permanent smile (in game terms, the “happy-go-lucky” trait).
She ended up being XCOM's best operative and one of the toughest and deadliest beings on the planet. Several of XCOM's highest-risk missions went swimmingly in no small part because she was on the squad.
Funny how that worked out.

And this is my drawing based on X-Com Terror From the Deep (MS-DOS). The underwater world is full of unusual things. Other species live there. It's another planet. Only seemingly similar to Earth. Someone is building sarcophagi underwater. And putting so-called sleepers in there. They look like octopuses or squids.

As the title says: Firaxis has currently a developer sale going on, and all their big titles are on sale (exception: Alpha Centauri, which is not on sale).
This includes everything from Civ3 to Civ7, with the excepton of some of the Civ6 DLCs.
Civ7 is currently 35% off, Civ6 and DLCs between 25 and 50%, and the rest of the games/addons/DLCs between 10-80%.
