Trying to give advice on a sewing machine and feeling way to tempted to say: they're like printers they detect fear and important projects and will throw a fit just based on that #sewing
I like sharing the #books I read here with sometimes a fibre arts question. I'm into #knitting, #crochet, #crossstitch and a bunch of other fiber crafts. The genres I'm into are varied but mostly #fantasy or #sff related. I make it a goal each year to read as diversly as possible, in as many ways as possible.

@thecrushedviolet Still not happy about supporting meta but it's better for my brain than reddit.
@thecrushedviolet redownloaded Instagram and set a timer of 5 minutes on the browser use for that and reddit. This (finally) stopped my reddit browsing (I do use my account so i can block certain subs). I follow real crafting people and buisnesses on Insta so it's not as inflamatory as reddit (which is mostly just opinions of people and more bots than you think).
@jackonskates My fundemental ideas have not changed since I was really young. It's more that the more I've learned, inside and outside of academia my opinons have become more informed. My favorite book as a kid had a futuristic sustainable society run by women.
Got myself a bunny bake pan that was to cute not to get but a bit expensive. Hopefully the delivery time is correct and I can use them to bake tomorrow! Also go dinosaur shaped decorations. Hyped to start #baking
@MsHearthWitch The fact that it scraped the internet for art work of real people who did not give consent will never stop bothering me.
Anyone read anything fun that could qualify as low stakes/urban fantasy? I've recently finished White Trash Warlock, Passing Strange and Black Water Sister. #fantasy #sff #bookstodon @bookstodon
@bomkatt @inarticulatequilter That's true! I'm also enjoying my circles of younger radical crafters πͺ
@inarticulatequilter Not a tech person and was also picturing a printing sewing machine. Beside not giving money to a transphobe, I cant see who this would appeal to? HP is quite millenial coded and even if you're a clueless fan why would you want a branded sewing machine?
@heinragas @Frieke72 @kbnationalebibliotheek Dat is waar natuurlijk.
@MsHearthWitch I got my local book club to send each other postcards and a handmade bookmark round robin style , which was a huge succes! (You'd need some kind of communty to do that though)
@justmichelle I can knit lace and the chart still looks like some kind of alien language :blobaww:
I've started a knitting project on straight needles. I learned on them and almost quit knitting altogether before finding circular needles. But this try is going well and it keeps my intrest, though I fear I might run out of yarn π¬ #knitting #fibrearts
@bearnecessities This is why Real Knitters get public transport. It takes way longer and leaves your hands free π (Kidding of course π )
Had my first music lesson since graduating high school. Learnig the marimba was intense but also a lot of fun learning a new (and old) skill with a teacher. #music #band #trysomethingnew
It is #WIPWednesday once again, on account of it being Wednesday again. That does keep happening.
A week ago I had the most #cozygame or #smalltown thing happen to me: I couldn't leave town because the road was blocked by beets π
