Looks like a great lens. Don't worry, OM-Digital Solutions continues to make cameras, lenses, and flashes for Olympus. And there's always Panasonic m4/3, so you can mount that lens on new bodies for years to come! I love my Olympus gear.

Those are a good start! But yes, a tripod is a must-have for most kinds of night photography. A good Pentax camera and a 200mm lens are great pieces of equipment, so you've almost there! Many thrift stores carry tripods for as little as $15…but beware, many of them don't include the top screw plate that attaches to the camera!
