Thought for the day: Stories tell us that things can change, that light can be found even when darkness seems absolute.
Just finished a short story outline… 14 pages of it. Writing in flow mode drains me, even when it’s an outline, so I think I’m done with it for this week. I’ll have to start on Monday, and I’ll need to get it done fast. For the rest of the time I have today, I’ll be unpacking, checking stock and similar to clean up from my interstate trip.

While showing my youngest watercolour pencils, I had shot at drawing something from my in progress scifi (codenamed PE). I’m a terrible artist, but it was fun to experiment. This is approx 1.5m long and not very friendly.

@paul_e_cooley given we’re nowhere near AGI, my biggest concern is the people who get their lives crushed by poorly supervised AI software ‘decisions’.

@davemana don’t forget to see if you need to add description at the start if you also jump POV. I’ve noticed that shifting chapters can mean I haven’t oriented the reader because of the flow of the previous location.
