@FruAleydis
Just curious, which Kingdom?
Enjoy, camping events are the best thing as long as you are warm and dry.

@futzle
Needs guerilla roadworkers to install kerbs and a big plant pot.

I can see it. It may be related to the cafe wall illusion: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caf%C3%A

@wmd
I think she is confusing an office with management. Management exists in an office but there are other things happening there as well.
Well usually , in Australia, the USA may be different.

News about a new, open-access journal covering original work in the intersection of mathematics and fibre/fiber arts.

Details are on the website :

interlace-journal.org

Looks intriguing!

This *definitely* needs to get outside my bubble, so boosts are especially welcome, and if people can suggest more hashtags, that would be great.

#FibreArt #FiberArt #Mathematics #Math #Maths #Journal #Knitting #Crochet #Weaving

More hashtags suggested ... adding here as an edit ... not all are applicable, but ... who knows!

#Knitting #Knitstodon #FiberArts #FibreArts #NeedleArts #Maker #Creator #Crafts #HandMade #SurfFeeds
#PrintMaking #Woodcut #Art #HandMade #Analog #Arte #Xilografia #Grafica #ArtIsForEveryone

Thank you for your indulgence ...

I'm guessing condolences are in order. Your mum was a nice person.

What makes you think that there were any trained or experienced programmers involved. "My kid can do that".

@futzle
Just a digression: Back in the 70s when Bayswater Hire Cars first started they were located on Guildford road next to a brothel and they could not retain any female staff because punters that the brothel rejected would come next door and harass their female staff. So they turned it into a feature with the whole "No Birds" slogan. The houses used by the brothel still exist but Bayswater Hire Cars bought them several decades ago and for a while used them as overflow office space.

@ajft @jojoeffe @futzle
Well natch. They may get complaints from angry ute drivers about scratched paintwork.

2025-05-22

@jojoeffe @ajft @futzle
Yeah, I encountered that in Adelaide.

@futzle
I would have though yes (because of the sign) but then I encountered the third option and wondered if making them too visible to outsiders would be unsafe.

Main Roads WA is the same ... crossing the road in Canberra was wonderful by comparison also with button presses carried forward to cross divided carriage ways without having to press again.
Does an other state besides WA have the "You have to press the button before the current road phase goes amber or it wont count" behaviour?

I was going to comment about Linux having all of the tools and none of the support and decided it wasn't worth the effort and then a few toots down my timeline I came across quotes from this: fireborn.mataroa.blog/blog/i-w
I was a trained Unix Sysadmin with experience in both BSD and SYSV systems and sometimes I struggle with modern Linuxes (Linuxii?). And the rest of the non Linux web jut tries, as hard as possible, to make life difficult for you.
