On the other hand, the first positive review did get me a bit emotional to be honest.
This was worth it.
Typing Simulator is not a game, it's the future ... of typing.
Learn to type. Get fast. Crush the leader boards. All in #VR.

The first negative review for @TypingSimulator is actually perfect. Says they didn't learn anything with only 0.1 hours played, and a random stranger being snarky to them in the comments. This feels like a rite of passage. I am a real game developer now.
Now that things are live I can post this:
In honor of @TypingSimulator going into early access, @jollibae made me a keyboard cake!
I am a lucky guy.
Just pushed a round of bug fixes live

Working on some cool new visualization for player typing data.
We are tracking typing performance not just per-letter (e.g. how fast you type the letter 'h') but by 2-gram (how fast you typed the letter 'h' after the letter 't')
We use that granular data in a number of places under the hood but we wanted to find a way to more clearly surface it for interested players.
Found this charming 36% keyboard on the plane.
Our trailer is now live, just in time for #NextFest!
TIL: Ray Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451 on a coin-operated typewriter he found in the basement of UCLA's Powell Library:
“So, exhilarated, I got a bag of dimes and settled into the room, and in nine days I spent $9.80 and wrote my story; in other words, it was a dime novel,” Bradbury said.

It's go time!
We just added some new aspect ratios to the photo mode of the keyboard editor! ⌨
Over the last years I amassed this little collection. They go from 1951 to 1979. I will scan them and put them up on Internet Archive, just like I did with the first one I got (https://archive.org/details/TypewriterMysteryGames), and this will make me happy, and I’m not sure I can explain why.
We just finished a big push to clean up the distraction free writing mode.
Spending time this week testing it, reminded me just how cool of an idea it was.
Having a calm, truly distraction free environment to think and write in is great.
Some of my friends do things not because they are easy—but because they are hard.
We are all the better for it.

Still some kinks left to work out but we have the keyboard editor in @TypingSimulator mostly working now.
Fun fact: while many keyboards only have physical F1-F12 there are actually scan-codes for F13-F24.
This is super useful 120% layouts like this Boston build, that have an entire second row of function keys.
