First volunteer shift in the Hamilton Art Gallery. It's required, as a member of the collective. I'd forgotten how much I love gallery-sitting volunteer work. Just having a quiet space all to yourself. I mean, hopefully someone comes by 🙃

I've been using this Center for Land Use Interpretation field book for general note taking, but I'm curious about typical use for this type of graph paper. Do people tend to just do plotting on the right side? The lines are so dark and the spaces so small it interferes with most of what I can imagine doing with it. The paper on the left makes more sense to me.

I really love how dark it gets in invasive bamboo forests during the day.

I did exaggerate it a bit by playing with the contrast. However, in person the darkness is also exaggerated because when you're standing outside it, your eyes are adjusted to the sunlight.

Just had adjaruli with tarragon soda at the Georgian restaurant Sakartvelo in Philly.

It was great and exactly what I wanted as my main course but toward the end definitely began to understand why it is categorized as a shared appetizer. It's a lot of cheese. Bread was amazing though.

When I got there, I was buzzed in by a voice, but the third floor seemed spookily empty of people. I enjoyed that feeling of a hidden presence of a person in an eerily still gallery.
