My first whole wheat loaf of bread in the Dutch oven. Could have been prettier, but some of it stuck to the banneton while proofing. Smells good and strong, though.

I've made: whole-wheat bread, challah, cheese rolls, bread with ham & Swiss cheese inside, rolls shaped like a Xmas wreath, rolls shaped like bunnies, Christmas fancy breads, European hard crust rolls, sour bread. I want a new #bread recipe. #baking

I think I've tweaked the bread maker recipe finally!

Seems like I need to add more water than it calls for - or the measurements are in US cups meaning my Metricted cups are too big!

4 US Cups = 948ml
4 Metric Cups = 1000ml

This is why the recipes dry ingredients should be in weight you fools, not volume! 🤡

Texture is much airier and no more strange shapes! 🍞 ✨

Just after 11pm here and my bread batch for the day has just completed. Left it a little late getting started, but it's come out alright.

Means fresh sourdough tomorrow for breakfast anyway.
